Why has the police budget increased drastically in the world?
If we observe, in many countries in the world, the police budget has increased drastically recently. It's a pretty weird pattern. With the increasing number of adherents of democracy in the world, the strengthening of the police structure should not support democracy in that country. Logically, if a country uses democracy as its ideology, then the supervision of civil society by the police should be reduced. Supervision by institutions such as the police is common in tyrannical, fascist, or authoritarian countries. It is as if many countries in the world are heading towards a "police state". In countries that are already well-established democracies like the United States, the situation is still better than that of "infancy" countries in the development of their democratic life.
